San Luis Obispo Classical Academy looks for faculty members who enjoy the pursuit of knowledge and understanding. The faculty at SLO Classical Academy is known for its excellence in knowledge, practice, and virtue. Beyond credentials and experience, we seek teachers who display a passion for their subjects or grades and a desire to learn more. This love for learning must go hand-in-hand with a love for students. Our teachers are the ones who make our excellent curriculum come to life. We believe that education is a lifelong pursuit and that no teacher can rest on her laurels. As a faculty, we desire to inspire our students through the example we set.

SLO Classical Academy teachers are expected to read great books of literature as well as those that will ignite their teaching and hone their craft. Upon hiring, teachers must complete a background check with fingerprinting and TB test.
